Taxonomy follows the Clements Checklist of Birds of the World (2025) as filtered for Southern Africa by Avibase. Distribution data is drawn from the Second Southern African Bird Atlas Project (SABAP2). Images and references draw on Wikimedia Commons and the Sasol Birds of Southern Africa field guide.
